Let’s Get this Project Started!

In many companies there comes a time when you outgrow old processes and need to progress in a way that allows your team to work more efficiently and cohesively.

This is exactly what was required for a charity that we recently worked with - the number of employees had increased and they needed a project management tool that reflected the way that they wanted to work moving forward.  The platform that they were currently using was effective on a small scale but wasn't fit for purpose once the team grew and so a more advanced and intuitive solution was required.

They had discussed using the project management tool that we had in mind but they didn’t have the time or resources to put it in place, so it was time for K-VA to come to the rescue!

This new platform needed to be built from scratch to ensure that it catered to their individual requirements and allowed them maximise productivity across the charity.

We started off by building the skeleton and then completed the rest in stages with timelines set by the executive team and frequent meetings to discuss progress. It was also essential that we provided training for the team so they felt confident using the platform and this also allowed them to provide feedback and suggestions for improvements.

The system we designed was then used for projects such as onboarding new staff, communication with the CEO/COO about diaries and events, as well as being a portal of company information that allowed the team to work  in real time without the need of constant email trails.

The end result was that we created a system for the company which in their own words ‘left them our legacy’ that will enable them to move forward, expand and engage fluidly as their presence in the charity sector grows.
